We’re planting our pants!
We are taking part in The Country Trust’s ‘Plant your Pants’ campaign. It’s a wonderful way of investigating our soils, working out what a good fertile soil looks like and what a less fertile soil looks like. It’s sparked curiosity into insects and soil structure, sensory experiences around touch and smell, and an opportunity for some indirect science and maths learning. We have measured, observed and moulded our soils, making notes about each different soil type and predicted outcomes. This has sparked some fabulous discussions about sustainability, replacing what you use, and only taking what you need.
All this learning before planting our giant pants! We can’t wait to see what we dig up in 8 weeks time - keep your eyes on our socials to see the results.
The main concept is that in good quality soils, the 100% cotton pants should biodegrade in 8 weeks.
