8th June 2026 - Little Acorns Family Session

from £3.00

Join us on the second Monday of every month for our much-loved Little Acorns sessions at Acorn Hollow. Each session offers two hours of outdoor exploration, inspired by a carefully chosen storybook theme, with activities designed to bring the story to life.

Children can immerse themselves in muddy play in the mud kitchen, meet our farm animals, build dens, explore the woodland and enjoy plenty of open-ended play in nature. We finish each session gathered around the campfire for hot chocolate and story time, the perfect cosy ending to an adventurous morning.

These sessions are suitable for walkers upwards, with older children very welcome. All children must be accompanied by an adult, making Little Acorns a lovely opportunity to slow down, explore together and make special memories outdoors.

What to Wear

Acorn Hollow is located on a working farm, which means we work whatever the weather, there may be mud, there may be rain, we might have wonderful bright warm sunshine, and there will be animal poo underfoot in places.  Please make sure you wear appropriate clothing, clothes and shoes that are allowed to get muddy are essential.  If you have wellies and waterproofs please bring them with you.  The more layers you can wear the better, that way we can add or take off layers depending on the weather.  During warmer weather please ensure you still wear long trousers or leggings, it would be advisable to apply sun cream before the sessions also as we will be in the sun for much of the time.

Medical Information and Allergies

Please make sure you have informed me of any essential medical information or allergies.  We will be providing Hot Chocolate and snacks, we will have ‘Free From’ alternatives if we are told about dietary requirements.

Hand Washing/Safety

Safety instructions will be delivered at the start of the session.  We will encourage children to wash and sanitise their hands at various points during the session, please could you ensure you help your children to make sure their hands are washed clean and their boots are washed off before leaving the site.

Photographs

From time to time we may take photographs of the children, with express permission, enjoying activities for use on our social media pages and website.  If you wish to take photo’s of your own children and share on social media we will be delighted if you tag us, however please only take and share photos of your own child.
